Né en France en 1933 dans une vieille famille russe, Roudneff ressent très tôt une attirance pour la peinture en découvrant les ateliers de peintres slaves à Nice où la famille a vécu jusqu'en 1940.
Dix ans plus tard sans aucun précepte il commence a peindre des toiles abstraites; son expression devient plus figurative au fur et à mesure du perfectionnement du dessin qu'il s'impose.
En 1970 ses œuvres commencent à intéresser un large public, 1977 sera déterminant, il noue des relations amicales et durables avec des galeries de renom et se consacre désormais entièrement à sa passion.
Prés de soixante expositions personnelles jalonnent son parcours avec toujours des thèmes de lumière et d'eau.
